Izzy

Izzy went to Saskatoon first but the lady had recently had surgery and there were some allergy issues so I went and got her back. Her Calgary family were given the phone number of her Saskatoon family so they could compare notes to see if Izzy was a good fit….turns out she is a great fit. I still have one male from this litter that I named Ferlin, I have done a fair amount of work on him so once it warms up I’ll do some finishing touches and offer him for sale. Izzy’s family wrote:

I hope you’re doing well and keeping warm in Saskatchewan! I just wanted to give you an update on our dear little Izzy. She is an amazing pup – she’s the cuddliest, sweetest girl ever! She’s 6 months now and has lots of spunk, but is happy just to chill with the family at every opportunity. She’s a little shy when it comes to people, but she’s never met a dog she doesn’t love. She’s great with the kids and I can hardly remember what it was like around here without her.

She’s doing absolutely great with us here in Calgary – although you might not recognize her these days! About a month ago, we didn’t realize she was getting matted around her joints (knees and elbows) and the groomer suggested we “start from zero”. Well, little did we know how SHORT that meant! Really, it doesn’t matter because we know it will grow out (and, actually, it’s a very manageable hair-do!) although my 7-year old thought she looked like a “messed up Weimaraner” when we picked her up at the groomer! She’s growing out nicely, which is great because it’s ridiculously cold here and she doesn’t love her doggy parka or boots. Just like her human mom, she’s getting lots of silvery hair in her coat, so we think she’s going to be a really cool silver color as she gets older.

We hope you’re doing well and thank you every day for the love and care you put into Izzy. She still rings the bell when she wants to go outside, and has such lovely dog manners. We get compliments on what a sweet dog she is all the time. We know the circumstances of Izzy coming to our family were so unusual, and we feel so lucky. Izzy is an important part of our family. Thanks so much for doing what you do!

Izzy is now in her new home in Calgary with her new kids, just in time for Christmas. I am sure she will be fine now!

Izzy has now been SOLD!

Meet ‘Izzy’, she is a daughter of Debbie (F1 Labra Doodle) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) born August 30th, 2013. Izzy is from a litter of 12 pups that are very well handled as they were bottle supplemented the first month of their life until they could start on a dish, then they got a bottle at bed time for another week. She is the last female available. She went to her ‘forever family’ but they have severe allergies so reacted to her and reluctantly sent her back to be replaced with a full Standard Poodle. Izzy would be great for a family with allergies that are not severe or a family that just want a non shedding dog.

This pup has had nails trimmed and foot massages regularly, she has been bathed here and also been professionally groomed, she is a sweetheart to work with and has a very ‘willing to please’ temperament. She is just starting to get some silver hairs into her coat, along her muzzle and around her eyes, she is not going to stay black but will slowly change to either ‘brindle’ or ‘shotgun’ silver in colour. She is pretty much house trained, there have been very few accidents, she uses the dog door in my office that goes down a ramp and into an outside run. She sleeps through the night in her crate and only squeeks in the morning when she needs out. She walks very well on a leash and has had three sets of boosters, so she is safe to go anywhere you would like to take her, she is totally vet checked and ready to go on to her life of adventure. She would love to go to the lake, or camping, hiking, or just sit around with her family and take them for long walks. This girl would ace a puppy obedience class, she is well socialized with other dogs, was very gentle with the barn cats when she had access to them and loves children.

Izzy would be perfect for someone who does not have time to start a pup, she is well started and ready to have her own forever family to love and look after for the next 15 years. Her price is $1,100 and that price includes delivery safely into your arms, if you live further away we could meet part way but I don’t have a problem delivering to the central prairies. I do not ship my pups! For more information on Izzy please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.
