Lily (Warren, MB)

Lily is now a full year old, she has a little buddy but I don’t know who it is. Lily is an F1 Labra Doodle, I really love her close clip job! Thanks for sending Whitney, she looks happy and healthy. Pet her for me… Lily’s Grammy. Whitney wrote:

I wanted to send you a few more pictures of Lily since today is her birthday!! She’s doing great, learning how to listen very well and absolutely loves swimming she truly enjoys summer! Hope you enjoy these.

Lily has brindled perfectly, I am so happy when I get pictures like this. Just as a side note, letting your dog ride with it’s head out the window will dry the eyes out and create cataracts later on in life. If she is seat belted in with a five point harness she can have her window open without her head being allowed out and she will be just as happy. She is indeed a really beautiful girl (and her baby sister is pretty cute too!) I would sincerely like to see pictures of some of her siblings. Tigger will have her last litter in 2015 then retire to a farm near here. Lily’s family wrote:

Just an update… Lily is doing well, still going strong with her house training although we had a set back with her chewing on a few things. She’s a super happy pup and loves ripping around the yard. She’s very attached to her sister Cali, won’t go very far without her it’s very cute. Her stitches and everything healed up very well from her spay and only slowed her down for about 2 days. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thanks so much for sharing Lily’s siblings stories and pictures!! So great to see and hear about them. Lily is about 50 lbs now. Mostly just her beard that is brown and lots of white/grey hairs throughout. She’s great at fetch, knows how to sit and lay down and somewhat stay haha. We are also very excited to take her to the cabin this summer and see how she does in the lake! Thanks again!

Lily was  Tigger and Einstein’s last pup to leave, she lives on an acreage near Winnipeg now with her little sister Cali, who she has already buried in the snow. She took to this young couple like she had already met them. I was getting very attached to this little girl and was getting ready to pull her ad and use her for breeding when Whitney applied to the ad. She looks like she has snuggled her way into the hearts of this young couple. She has a five acre fenced acreage to play on so what a great life she will have there! The shower picture is exactly what her mother, Tigger, would have done only she would already be in the tub. I sincerely thank my puppy owners for sending pictures, you have no idea how it helps me feel good about where the pups went. Her family wrote:

Making herself right at home. No privacy in this house! Haha we think she’s going to be a swimmer. Cali and Lily are definitely becoming good friends. Lily isn’t normally allowed up on the couch or bed but she just looked too cute I had to take a couple pictures! We are getting to know each others personalities. She’s doing great. She had a trip to the groomer rrecently. She’s getting fairly tall these days. She was spayed on January 23 and everything went very well. She had a hookworm in some puke awhile ago so she was treated for that but otherwise she is great. Training is going well, she is such a smart pup!

Tigger Lily has been sold!

‘Tigger Lily’ was born July 27th. Her mother is Tigger and her father is Einstein. Tigger is my smallest Chocolate English Lab and Einstein is my smallest of the breeding Standard Poodles and is Apricot in color. I expect Lily to mature at about 50 to 55 lbs. Her brindle coloring is really starting to show up now. Yesterday was her first leash lesson. After her imitation of ‘fishing for marlin’ she settled down and was very respectful of the lead (I use a Cesar Milan lead to start my pups).

Lily has had three sets of boosters and once I get to the barn today she will also have been dewormed three times. Dew claws are removed, sleeping in a crate with the door off has been her only option to sleep in, so she is well started with the crate. She has known to poop and pee in one small area of her pen since she was 5 weeks old so house training should go smoothly, especially if you use the crate as part of your training technique. She is now the only pup left from July and August’s litters so she would really like to have her own family to love.

This will be a very loyal dog, she loves my groomers kids so she would prefer to go where there are kids to play with in the snow. She can be an outside dog as she has not been brought in where it is warm, or she can easily be an inside dog. Lily is an F1 so she shows a lot of Lab characteristics and has a beautiful flat head and her coloring is starting to give her the appearance of a pup wise beyond her age (3 1/2 months). This is the age where you can really make great strides in training, they are now paying attention and retaining what you teach them. She is an eager to please little girl that would walk a mile to lay down and get a belly rub and paw massages. I do not reward with treats. I do however, reward with praise.

If you would like Lily to join your family please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page. She is $835 and that price includes delivery to most places. Further away buyers will have to meet me part way.

F1B Golden Doodle Females (Darla) – Born October 8, 2014

All of Darla’s puppies have been sold!!!

Darla (F1 Golden Doodle female from Kloe, Golden Retreiver, and Cesar, Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) had nine puppies on October 8. They were fathered by Einstein, my Apricot Standard Poodle. There are now only three females left and all three are starting to get their chocolate highlights along the muzzle and around the eyes, this is called Brindle and some get quite a bit of apricot and chocolate throughout their coat where others only get highlights. Regardless of what color they end up as you can be assured that these girls have the best of the best as far as confirmation and temperament go. I sincerely find it disheartening when people buy a pup with the color to match the drapes, many breeders are getting away with producing an inferior pup because they are sacrificing the integrity of the dog to produce a certain color.

I am very selective about the quality of my pups. The pups are health guaranteed for two years for ears, eyes, hips and elbows for anything hereditary. They have three sets of boosters, have been dewormed twice and are well handled. I am very proud of Darla for the way she has mothered these pups, she has weaned them but does not want to leave them. This is especially good to see because .her mother, Kloe, was not the best mother in the pack. She fed them and kept them clean but she really didn’t want to stay with them any longer than necessary. Darla, on the other hand, lays on her back on the straw and wraps her front paws around them and hugs them like a mother bear! She has been out of milk for at least a week but I have not seen her snap at these pups, she gives a low growl when they try to suck and lets them know that this is the end of nursing but not the end of mothering. I only have Darla and Dane from Kloe and I am sure wishing I had kept more back, but things are slowly winding down at Fur Fettish Farm.

The price of one of these girls is now $1,135.00, that price is delivered to most places on the Central Prairies. I will not be delivering Alberta until Dec. 28th. It is really not a good idea to get a puppy for Christmas day, they get lost in the hubbub. Either get her a few days before, or a few days after when the excitement is not quite so intense, puppies pick up on that. I am willing to meet my buyers part way if they want a pup earlier. Try to be prepared for a few sleepless nights, although that is not always the case. Once they are 10 weeks or more they can sleep through the nights and I give as many tips to make this transition successful as I can. Please use my contact page or text 306 521-1371 for more information or additional pictures. Tell me by the stuffy that is in the picture with the puppy, we have Eeyore, Blue Lambchop and a Fox to choose from.

On October 8, Darla ( Black F1 Golden Doodle) and Einstein ( Apricot Standard Poodle) had nine fat, healthy F1B Golden Doodle puppies. There are now only four left for adoption, all four are females and these girls will not stay black. They are starting to get some Chocolate highlights along the bridge of their muzzle and around their eyes. Their Grandfather is Cesar, my Chocolate Standard Poodle and his pups change color as they mature, so these girls will brindle in color rather than stay black.

Mature weight will be about 55 to 75 lbs. depending on the puppy. Height at the wither (shoulder) will be 22 to 24 inches. These are non shedding dogs, clipping three or more times a year will be required unless you like them shaggy.

They have dew claws removed, feet are well handled, bellies rubbed and they are laid on their back in my arms and rocked and sang to. The pups that are spoken for, and named, get a song sang to them with their name in so they know who they are. The pups will have two sets of boosters and be dewormed twice before leaving me at a full 8 weeks old or older. Darla has done a remarkable job with her pups, she lays on her back and plays with them, steals their toys and runs around so they will chase her. It is not the norm for a mother, first litter, to interact with her pups quite the way Darla does. Hence we have the ‘happy gang’ going on here, these are a litter of tail wagging happy go lucky characters.

Each pup has it’s own stuffy or toy, that goes with the puppy when is leaves to help the transition from my arms to yours go a little smoother. If you see a pup you like the looks of please tell me by the toy that is in the pictures with her and I will send all the pictures I took of that particular puppy. The price of the puppy is $1,100 (firm) and that includes delivery to most places on the Central Prairies. Buyers from further away, or if there is only one pup going that direction, can arrange to meet me part way. Alberta deliveries are Dec. 6th and 7th, Regina delivery is December 9th or 10th, and Winnipeg dates are still open. For more information on one of these girls please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

On October 8, Darla presented me with a litter of nine healthy, robust puppies. Darla is a black F1 Golden Doodle with some Chocolate highlights along her back. Her mother is Kloe, a darker red Golden Retriever (now retired) and her father is Cesar, my Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle, so this girl has some pretty impressive bloodlines, I will have to admit I was disappointed when this litter was born black, but have learned to hang in there and now the results are starting to show. Darla was bred to Einstein for this litter, he is light Apricot in color so once these girls start to change color it is going to be very interesting to see what the end result will be. My pups do not stay black, they get silver, chocolate and apricot throughout their coat as they mature, so these pups will become brindle in color as they age, starting at about 3 to 4 months of age. There are six females, one is already spoken for. I breed for confirmation and temperament, not for color, and we most certainly have the best of that showing here. These pups will mature from 50 to 70 lbs. There are two smaller ones but I will honestly say that the smaller do not always stay smaller and these will definitely be outstanding looking, solid, gentle, loyal and extremely intelligent dogs that you will be proud to be seen with. Many of my buyers tell me they are always getting asked ‘where did you get that beautiful dog’.

The pups will have two sets of boosters, be dewormed twice and totally vet checked before leaving me on December 7th. The price of the pup, $1,100 includes delivery to most places on the central prairies. So far there is one destined for Calgary and one for Milk River, Alberta. I do not ship my pups, I choose to deliver them and meet my buyers and place the puppy safely into their arms. They come with instructions on booster follow ups and feeding, training and anything you may have questions about. I stand behind what I breed with a two year health guarantee for anything hereditary with ears, eyes, hips and elbows (we are free from any of those problems in my breeding dogs). For more information on one of these girls please tell me by the toy that is in the picture with her and I will send all the pictures I took of that particular pup. Pictures will be updated in about two weeks. Text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

F1B Golden Doodle Males (Darla) – Born October 8, 2014

All of Darla’s male puppies have been sold!

Darla (F1 Golden Doodle from Kloe, Golden Retriever, and Cesar, Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) had a camp out with Einstein, my Apricot Standard Poodle. This camping trip resulted in nine robust, rolly polly F1B Golden Doodles, three males and six females. This is Darla’s first litter and she has excelled at this job of motherhood! Darla is a tall, black with chocolate highlights, extremely well put together female with a very gentle personality (her only downfall is she is a pick pocket, if a mere corner of a glove or Kleenex is showing from a pocket she sneaks up and gently removes it,then quick as a wink, hides it and gives the innocent stone face look….who me? Wouldn’t dream of stealing your gloves, surely someone just put this Kleenex in my mouth). I can see her pups are going to be little clowns like their mother and have the wise ways of their father, so non shedding, smart as a whip and beautiful like all their ancestors put together.

The pups will have two sets of boosters and be dewormed twice before leaving me, they are 5 1/2 weeks old now, they will be ready about December 7th. I am not prepared to hold a pup until Christmas, it is much better for the family, and the puppy, to get it before all the hype starts and have it crate and house trained in time to enjoy Christmas with the family rather than get lost in the wrapping paper. At the tender age of five weeks these guys already knew to climb out of the heated whelping box and go to the designated area of their pen to pee and poop, some litters take a few go rounds to ‘get it’ but this litter got it right off the bat. This is a happy go lucky crew, tail waggers, already zeroed in on the toys and Darla has the option to sleep away from them but I have not seen her do it once yet. She is snuggled under the heat lamp, surrounded by her crew of fat little monkeys. They are eating well a ‘warm canned food and milk gruel’ from a dish, I whistle when it is dinner and supper time and they all come scooting out of the box and surround the dishes, they have full access to both water and dry puppy food (hence the roly polyness).

My pups come with feeding, inoculation and training instructions. I am here if my buyers need me, to me a happy buyer means my pup will be happy and loved.

These pups are $1,100, that price includes delivery to most places on the central prairies, dew claws have been removed and they are well handled. Paw massages and belly rubs are in order, relaxing on their back in my arms and putting up with the insanity on photo day, are all taken in stride. For further information, please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page. I am here to help you make a wish decision, remember this decision will live with you for about 15 years. Please discuss this with your family prior to applying for a puppy, it is very disillusioning to put many hours into a potential buyer and then have them tell you their partner is not on board with this decision.
