Baila

Here are some updated pictures of Baila. I think we have pictures from almost everyone with a pup from this litter, what a treat it has been to see how they turned out. Baila’s family wrote:

This is our Baila. She has been an absolute treat – first dog!! So smart, sociable, good natured and tolerant. We have travelled extensively in the last 3 months and she’s been incredibly good. She’s calm and mild mannered, and LOVES to play. Everything is a game – OMG, try and put sox on your feet!

———————————————————————-

The litter Baila came from is completely sold and spans the three Prairie Provinces! Her family sent some pictures and told us:

Our puppy is growing up. She LOVES snow, food, people and dogs, and the fun of “fetch”.

————————————————————————-

Baila’s family sent us this beautiful new picture and wrote:

Baila and I go to the doggy park every day now. She gets tons of compliments. She’s definitely the prettiest girl around.

This is Baila, daughter of Amber and Cesar, born August 31, 2013. She has a sister “Brook” exactly like her that is waiting for her forever family. Her family wrote:

Oh my Margaret-Ann. This little puppy is amazing. Baila is a bundle of affection, energy and laughs. And smart! I had no idea she could be so smart.

Mac and Marty – F1 Labra Doodles (from Amber) – Born August 31, 2013

Mac and Marty have now been SOLD!

Mac and Marty have now been sold. Their mother, Amber has retired and gone to her forever home on a farm near Qu’Appelle, Sask. This litter spans three provinces and everyone is raving about how good their pup is, this is what makes my life worth living. I am trying to hang in with my breeding program so future litters will be posted as they are available. Next litters looking for their forever home are two litters of Standard Poodles and one of F1B Labra Doodles. Marty’s new family wrote:

Thanks so much for Marty. He is such a great boy. He’s very, very sweet and just absolutely hilarious. He bucks a little when he runs and gets excited – such a hoot to watch. He was groomed for the first time the other day and just sat nicely and tolerated it all. He seems like an old soul. That said, he does spend a bit too much time barking at his reflection in the mirror – again, so funny!

The boys have really enjoyed him. He has taken up the habit of laying upside down on their laps, wherever or whatever they are doing. Total ham. He’s a super fast learner and listens really well. Your hard work really shows. Thanks for such an amazing pup.

He’s also enjoying being able to watch the deer out of the windows…I’m sure he’d rather be on the other side of the window though…

Mac and Marty are Amber and Cesar’s pups born August 31st. 2013, so for the buyers who do not have time to start a pup, here is your dream pup already well started!
Mac and Marty are now in the house full time, they are successfully house trained to a dog door without even one accident between them. I reversed the way I did things this time as pup training is an ongoing learning curve, the last two pups would have a few accidents before they learned how to go out the door, so I put Mac and Marty in the outside pen with a dog house full of straw. Kix is in the same pen and knows what the dog door is for, so she would go out and play with them and then come in, soon they were up the ramp behind her peeking in the door at me on the computer. Marty came in first, went back out and got his little brother. Now they are all asleep on the dog bed in my office as I type!

They are fully crate trained, sleep through the night in crates in my office and are very good about it. They are doing very well on the leash, Marty is a little quicker to sit as soon as I stop but Mac is not far behind. Both are doing the ramp and steps and are pro’s about the serpentine pylons, sticking right at my side weaving in and out. I had a lot of fun with picture taking this time and they are really starting to show how beautiful they are going to be as the color starts to change. Mac is going to stay more chocolate and be slightly smaller. Marty is a bit leggier so will end up taller and has his dad’s silver factor coming in a lot faster than Mac.

They are now $1,000 and as more training goes into them the price will go up accordingly. Remember this is a life time commitment, these boys would love to meet their forever family. Text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page for more information or additional pictures.

——————————————————

Mac and Marty are sons of Amber, Chocolate English Lab, and Cesar, Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle, making them F1 Labra Doodles. These are minimal to non shedding, this means they may shed but not like a Lab, nothing that regular brushing wouldn’t fix. These boys are winter proofed with a insulated dog house with lots of straw in it, this gives you the option of keeping them outdoors with a dry place, free of drafts to sleep, or bring them indoors. They are old enough to sleep through the night and have had access to a crate the first three months of their life, so crate and house training would go quickly.

Mac (in the pictures with snow on and around him) has the shaggier type coat and is shorter and stockier than his big brother Marty, on the blanket, who is getting a tighter wavy type coat and more blonde throughout it.

Personality is very similar, the are both gentle natured and eager to please but one thing that is starting to show up is that Marty has developed a great interest in birds, so he may be a good hunting dog prospect. They are just starting on leash work and catch on quickly, we worked stairs yesterday as that is always a hurdle that needs to be crossed with most pups and we will work on that again today, by next week we will advance to steps, ramp and pylons. I teach them to walk in the proper position at my side, sit when I stop, then start ‘stay’ in about a week. When one of my pups sells I give the buyer a demonstration on how I train them, where they are in training and how to proceed. I try to put each pup into the best home possible and am willing to coach on training all I can from here. Each buyer should read Cesar Milan’s book on starting a puppy BEFORE the puppy arrives.

These boys are what I am looking for in my breeding program, I don’t get excited if my pups don’t sell at 8 weeks, I just let them be pups, work it out between them who is the pack leader, then at about 3 1/2 to 4 months old, if they are still here, I begin basic leash work. These boys are $900, they have 3 sets of boosters, have been dewormed twice and are well handled. They were imprinted at birth and taught submission from the beginning, feet are handled regularly and no licking, jumping up or tugging on clothes has ever been allowed. If you are interested in adding one of my pups to your pack please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page. These boys are from some very solid English Lab breeding (see links below) and the father is Registered and also from some pretty impressive bloodlines…. creating a win win combination for these pups.

——————————————————

‘Mac’ and his little brother ‘Marty’ are sons of Amber (Chocolate English Lab) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle), born August 31, 2013. Just over 3 months old, the prime time to go into training. Both the boys are now getting their Doodle hair in, it is coming in light reddish brown, and it is giving them a lot of character in looks. They have totally different personalities, Marty (in the last 5 pictures above) has been a little clown from day one and continues to try to be the entertainer of the two. He was a little unsure of the wiggly straw bales I put them on to take pictures, he was pretty interested in burying into the cracks, but Mac (the first 5 pictures) was not fazed a bit, he was more interested in the sparrows, leaves moving on the trees and other dogs. Both pups have been imprinted, handled a lot, especially feet, laid on their backs for submission and are about to go into intense leash work. This is the prefect age to start letting them work on stairs, ramps and learning to heel and sit properly in the correct position.

These pup are classified as minimal to non shedding, this means they will not shed like a lab if they do shed at all, they will shed more like what is in your hairbrush (if you have hair), regular brushing eliminates this and is the best tool there is to bond you with your pup. Dew claws are removed, they have three sets of boosters so are safe to go anywhere you would like to take them, and they are completely vet checked and cleared for take off. Mac will mature at about 60 to 65 lbs. and I am thinking Marty will only be slightly smaller. For more information on Mac and Marty please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

Brook – F1 Labra Doodle (from Amber) – Born August 31, 2013

Brook has now been SOLD!

Brook was born on August 31st, 2013, from Amber and Cesar.  She was held back from being advertised because she had a few eyelashes on her right eye that were turned in a causing her eye to water.  My trusty vet put two stitches in the skin under her bottom eyelid and fixed the minor problem, she got her stitches out today and is clear to go on to her new family.   I started her on a leash this morning and she had another lesson when we got home from the vet……this little monkey catches on quickly.   She has a soft personality and a willing to please temperament, she is ready to go on to be one of the best dogs you will ever have the pleasure of owning.   I am staring leash training on her now, so her price will go up $100 a month, she is $900 now, that includes delivery safely into your arms in the Central Prairies, buyers from further away can meet me part way.   She has three sets of boosters, has been dewormed, dew claws are removed and she is totally vet checked.   She is just starting to get her Doodle hair now and when she is mature she will look like the dog named ‘Hemi’ on my web site.   For more information on Brook please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

An update from Anndi’s family had this picture attached and read:

Anndi sounds like quite the explorer! It is so heart warming to me to see my pups as they grow up and hear of how they have become a valued member of each of their families. Anndi’s family sent the pictures and video above and wrote:

Anndi is doing well! Her and Aura have bonded amazingly. She loves playing fetch and once she starts she doesn’t quit usually until about 10 pm then she crashes hard! The video was from last night she got too warm on the couch and decided to flop to the floor. She likes to peak into the sink when she thinks no one is looking.

——————————————————————

This is one of Amber and Cesar‘s girls, born August 31, 2013. She scored an awesome home in Regina today. The bigger dog with her is named Aura. Nice dog names, Aura and Anndi!!! Their family sent us this note along with the pictures:

The girls are getting along so far.  We love her, thank you so much!!

F1 Labra Doodle Litter (Amber) – Born August 31, 2013

All Amber’s puppies have been sold!

Amber (English Chocolate Lab) and Cesar (Registered Chocolate Silver Factor Standard Poodle) now have only three F1 Chocolate Labra Doodles for adoption, two males and one female. The male with the Brown Bear toy is a little bigger, the male with the Orange Transforma Bone is the chunky little guy, the female has the Green Denta Ball in her pictures. These pups will mature at about 50 lbs., the males maybe slightly more. They are classified as minimal to non shedding, which means if they shed it will be minimal, not like a Lab but more like what you would get in your hair brush, if they get regular brushing you will pick it up in the brush.

These guys have now had three sets of boosters, so are safe from the dreaded Parvo Virus, dew claws are removed and they are very well handled. They sleep in a crate with the door off so crate training will be quick and easy. They are trained to pee and poop in one area of their pen, so teaching them to go in a designated area of your yard will also be a quick procedure. These Doodles are very intelligent and quick to pick up on what you want of them and I have never seen such loyalty in a breed of dog in my life. The price of the pups is $900 including delivery safely into your arms…..I do not ship my puppies. I deliver the central Prairies, if you are further away we can meet part way. For further information call 306 792-2113 or text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

————————————————————————

Amber (Chocolate English Lab) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) had a sleep over earlier this summer resulting in 7 beautiful Chocolate F1 Labra Doodles born August 31st. This is Amber’s last litter. These characters have bird hunting skills running in their bloodlines and are nice stout pups with flat Lab heads and Poodle smarts…..they are a crackerjack bunch that have caught on to everything expected of them early. They pee and poop in one area of their pen and have been doing so since they were 4 weeks old. There are only two males in this litter.

Dew claws are removed, they are very well handled, have two sets of boosters, have been dewormed twice and are completely vet checked. They will be old enough to leave on the 26th. of October. They have had access to a crate with the door off, so crate training will be fairly quick as will house training. These are very loyal, intelligent, and easy to train dogs. They will be minimal shedding and will have shaggy Doodle coats that will never need clipping unless you want them clipped. I also have pictures of some that are older if you would like to see what they will look like as older pups.

For more pictures of a certain pup, refer to it by the toy that is with is. For further information call 306 792-2113 or text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page.

The price of these pups is $900 delivered to most places on the Prairies, buyers from further away can meet me part way….I do not ship unaccompanied pups, if you fly to Regina or Saskatoon I will bring your pup to the airport and you can escort it home safely.

Remy

This is an update on Remy. I have her full sister here, Deeva, who will be bred to Cesar in 2015. I have two half sisters to Remy here that are the same color, they were coal black when they were born. It was so good to receive and update on Remy and I am thrilled she has turned into a shining star in the bird hunting department. I didn’t have a doubt as I could tell Paul knew how to handle a dog when I met him. Her family wrote:

Remy has turned out to be one of Paul’s best dogs, and companion. She is even shining as a hunting dog. She still seems to think of me as her play mate, but as she gets older, she is listening to me a lot better as well. Just wanted you to know how Remy has become a real part of our family.

—————————————————————-

Will you look at this!!! What a beautiful dog she has turned out to be. Remy lives at Boissevain, Manitoba and is a hunting companion for Paul, her owner and trainer. I am going to be interested to see this bloodline go to the F1B stage as I have a full sister to this girl here (her name is Deeva and she is bred to Cesar creating F1B Labra Doodle pups). Amber has found herself a forever farm home and they tell me she fits right in.

—————————————————————–

This is Remy. She is from Amber and Einstein‘s August 26th litter. I am very excited to know how this pup turns out as Paul is a professional dog trainer. Remy will be his hunting partner. This girl is a perfect example of how some of the pups that are born black can brindle as they mature….she is absolutely beautiful.

This is also an example of how hard it is to get good pictures of pups. People are relentless with wanting more pictures and then once they have the pup they realize how hard it is to get good pictures unless you are a photographer. Remy’s owners sent along these words with the pictures:

Here are some pictures of our little Remy. I apologize for taking so long to get them to you. She doesn’t like to sit still long enough to get a picture. You can see that she has acquired quite a bit of gold/blondey hair around her face and the tips of her ears. She was five months old yesterday. Paul will be starting the “hunting” part of her training in another month.

Tillie & Pepper

Tillie is doing great. Her family sent us a couple new photos. I have her full sister same litter here, her name is Deeva and she is celebrating her birthday with her first litter of puppies. Tillie’s family told us:

Wanted to send you a pic of Tillie on her birthday. She has matured to a wonderful happy companion! She is a mommies girl and I’m just fine with that. Take care, hopefully we can chat soon.

These dogs have it made, they go to the farm for week ends, have spa days and makes me wish I was one of Janet’s dogs!  Here are some great videos of Tillie and Pepper!

We just got in this new video of Tillie. I have her full sister Deeva here and she will be bred this fall to Cesar, making F1B Labra Doodle pups. Janet is an exceptionally great dog owner and both her Doodles, Tillie and Pepper, are well mannered and well trained.

A video update from Tillie! Her owners helped her send it and wrote:

We had a great weekend at the farm. Planting flowers & doing some tree trimming. The girls were exhausted after spending the day outside. Hope all is well with you!

————————————————

We received a new picture and update from Tillie’s proud owners:

Took Pepper and Tillie to get weighted yesterday. Pepper weights a chunky 71lbs., like her mom she has gained some winter weight. She’ll shed this quickly once I can take her biking again and once she stops eating the puppy food.

Tillie weighed in at 51lbs and is sporting her new big girl collar in the picture above.

————————————————-

Tillie has graduated from obedience school! Way to go Tillie!!!!!!

Now that business is done… time for Tillie to have some fun! Check out the video below of Tillie “ice skating”:

————————————————

Tillie is one of Amber and Einstein‘s August 2012 litter. I kept her full sister “Deeva” back to breed to Cesar and hopefully my health will hold on to complete that project. Tillie lives in Regina with Pepper (and Janet), they are a pretty awesome threesome. I will update pictures of Tillie as Janet sends them. Within one week Tillie was sitting right beside Pepper on the door matt when let in to get her feet wiped. Pepper was starting to slow down a bit so Janet got her a baby sister, believe me I have seen the new life in Pepper… she is like a teenager playing with Tillie now.

Freddy

This is one of Amber and Einstein‘s pups from last July 21, 2011. His name is Freddy. His owners told us:

We just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and to let you know we love our Freddy more than ever ….he has made our year so much fun! We have done so much with him …. He has entertained us at the lake, he has went hunting with Joe and I and he has taken a great liking to rollerblading with the big kids and is Parker and Rylans best friend!!! He is a protector and has an amazing temperament!!! He has completed our family and has been the best addition yet!!! We love him so much!!! Thank you for letting us have our puppy and know that he is being loved and cared for! We love him!!!

Deeva

Meet Deeva, the smiling F1 Labra Doodle. This girl was born here on Fur Fettish Farm on August 26, 2012. Her mother is Amber, an outstanding Chocolate English Labrador Retriever. Her father is Pluto, a now retired black Standard Poodle who is still with us, and at 12 1/2 years old is solid as a rock.

Deeva is a bit of a clown, she literally smiles, pulling her gums back and showing off her pearly whites. Her mature weight is about 65 lbs. She has a very nice flat English Retriever head and wide chest with good spring of rib. Her temperate is very much Lab, laid back and extremely loyal.

She is pregnant with her second litter of pups, due mid April 2016. She was bred to Einstein, who has produced many great Golden and Labra Doodles over the years.

—————————————————————-

Deeva, daughter of Amber and Einstein, is wishing everyone that visits our web site, a Merry Christmas….this girl just keeps looking better, I can hardly wait for 2014 when she and Cesar (Chocolate Standard Poodle) have their first pups. This is what keeps me ticking! I will be 65 this month and am hoping my old body holds together until I am 70 (for my dogs sakes) and then I will have to rethink my breeding program….until then I intend on producing some beautiful pups that will go on to become an important part of many homes! Merry Christmas from me, Margaret-Ann, and all my critters!

—————————————————————-

Check me out guys and keep an eye on this website in two years when I have my first birth announcement! I am from Amber and Einstein, I was born on August 26th. 2012, my Grandmother is Abbey and my Grandfather is Trump….all are English Labrador Retreivers, so I have a nice flat head, perfect eye and ear set and a nice barrel chest. My Dad, Einstein, is a registered Standard Poodle, he is apricot and has sired some of the best Doodle pups in Canada. I am destined to be bred to Cesar, a registered Chocolate Standard Poodle, when I am two….the results should be pretty outstanding. I am a very gentle, eager to please little girl that learns quickly…I have very good manners as that is the rule here on Fur Fettish Farm. Pictures of me will be updated as I get older, I am going to be a beauty….Margaret-Ann keeps telling me that and I am trying not to let it go to my head!
