George (Spruce Grove)

This handsome dude is George, and that name really suits him, he just looks like a George! He is one of Dory and Cesar’s July 26, 2014, pups. He lives in Spruce Grove with his family and it sounds like they (and he) have done a great job. I am very happy with how many of you have sent updates on your Doodles, it sincerely means a lot to me. George’s family wrote:

George is a wonderful dog…….He is 51 lbs and coming on 8 months. Great walking companion and completely loveable.

Oso

Now this is the kind of report that makes my heart sing! ‘Oso’ is one of Dory and Cesar’s males born July 26, 2014, and I vividly remember Vic’s wife did not want a dog. Obviously Oso was a great choice! I have written in my book when he was only a few weeks old, ‘laid back’ and he certainly is playing the part. I am thrilled to get this update as I hadn’t heard how this pup was doing. Thanks Victor, you definitely brightened my whole week! Oso’s family wrote:

He has been an exceptional puppy (and now dog), this is my wife’s first dog ever and I keep telling her that she should not think that all dogs are like him. To put things in context, Oso only had one accident in our house! He’s playful without being out of control. He cries when he gets hungry (which is fair!) and sometimes when he is put in the kitchen when his paws are wet but otherwise he’s super chill and quiet. Yes, he had destroyed his beds (2 already) but he has not touched any of our furniture, shoes or whatnot, he understands which are his toys and he doesn’t touch anything else. We have found a solution for his bed which seems to be working well so far. He’s not aggressive by any stretch and what has been the most important thing for us is that he’s the best running buddy! There has been a few runs when I have taken his leash off and he had run right beside me! I have had dogs before and I know Oso’s behavior is not the norm! Long story short, we are very happy with Oso, as I told you earlier, Oso is my wife’s first pet ever and she was a bit nervous at first, but she is just being spoiled with such a well behaved dog that she thinks having a dog is super easy! The one and only problem we have with him, it is impossible to get mad at him!

—————————————————————

It seems this entire litter had a reoccurrence of worms, which is a common puppy thing but is usually cleared up by two dewormings by the time they are 8 weeks old, apparently this didn’t work with this litter as this is the third pup that I have been told had worms. I am thinking maybe one of the dewormers was past expiry date as I never have this problem, now I can’t say that. I usually write on the envelope to have them dewormed again when they go for spay or neutering and that they should get their rabies booster at that time. I keep my dogs on a regular deworming program to avoid this. Just like horses and cats, dogs need to be dewormed regularly. Oso’s family wrote:

Oso (that’s how we ended up naming him) is doing great.During the first few days at home we realized that he had worms (a lot of them), we took him to a vet right away and he was given a de-wormer. Since then he has grown like crazy and he has been way more active. He has also been great in the house, in terms of accidents, he had only pooped once inside the house, he had peed a couple of times but no accidents in the last few days. so all in all he has been a really easy puppy to have! He’s also great on the leash AND off the leash. We are really happy to have him and i think he’s happy too (I hope)

K-os

This is K-os, who lives in Edmonton. The Golden Doodle looks very well groomed, and does well in the crate with K-os. Hahaha. His family wrote:

Just another picture of our golden doodle and kos

——————————————————————-

This is K-oss (from Dory and Cesar), I loved her name so much that this is what I am naming my new male Miniature Schnauzer that will arrive here in December. K-oss lives with her amazing family in Edmonton and these are totally awesome pictures and this is a great update. I knew when I talked to Jeff on the phone that this pup would have a great home and when I met Jeff and Brandee it was like I already knew them. Take a look at this pup and her modes of transportation! And it looks like she is a beer drinker like her ‘Grammie’. Here are a few pictures from Jeff and Brandee and they wrote:

She is a completely amazing puppy, so cute and smart. We have had a few issues training her outside but it is coming along. No pooping in the house, not once, but peeing. Jeff was curious to know if you received his email about her being on hand signals? We can actually be out in the field, turn our back and put out our arm and she comes and sits right under our arm! She is great with the kids and is the ‘baby’ of our family! Love her to pieces!

Jinny

This is Miss Jinny and her friend Bud-Bud, they now live with my scuba buddy, that I did almost all my ocean dives with on Vancouver Island. We have always stayed in touch and she has always wanted a Chocolate Doodle. Jinny looks exactly like her sister, Kix, that I kept as my last forever dog. Just a note for you Doodle owners, keep the heaviness of hair off the ears, you can leave the edges shaggy but take some weight from the middle of the ear and keep the ear canal plucked. Both sides of the family (Lab and Standard Poodle) are water dogs, when their ears are heavy they tend to get ear infections. Jinny looks like such a wise little soul and I know with all my heart this girl is right where she is supposed to be. Jinny’s family wrote:

What a wonderful smart Muffin…. For the most part she is well behaved for a 7 month old pup. Thank you for this beautiful companion!

———————————————————————————

This is Jinny, she is one of Dory and Cesar’s pups from July 26th. 2014 now living in Quesnell, B.C.

Bruno

This dapper looking young fellow looks like he should put on a Derby Hat. He looks wonderful Jenn and it sounds like you are doing an awesome job. Bruno’s mother, Dory, is retired and lives on a farm near St. Brieux, Sask. with two little girls that she adores. Cesar is in his working clothes and having sleep overs with three girls in three pens, I rotate him so he gets a break and a long run every day. Bruno’s family wrote:

We love seeing the pics of Bruno’s siblings! Here are a couple of Bruno. He is about 52 lbs now and is a very sweet dog, he’s also very smart, we have been able to teach him a bunch of tricks already.

We love him so much!!!!

Bruno, son of Dory and Cesar‘s July 26th litter. Bruno lives in Winnipeg with his family. It looks like I raised a litter of sweater models. His family wrote:

Here’s a recent picture of Bruno in his Christmas sweater. He’s doing great and is growing so fast! He is such a good boy! (Most of the time)

Boom

Boom is one of Dory and Cesar’s females from the July 26th. 2014 litter, a litter that spans 4 provinces. Boom lives with Micah, a non verbal child that she took to as soon as they met and is obviously doing her job. I met Micah when I delivered Boom, she is named Boom because Micah loves storms and can say Boom. This was such a loving little man, I even got a big hug before we left. Boom lives near Edmonton. She looks very happy in her family. I thank each of you that takes the time to update me on how your Fur Fettish Doodle has turned out, it really is what keeps me going. Boom’s family told us:

Micah and Boom are doing very well together. Boom also loves our other dog Chewie, and can pester her frequently. Unfortunately, we had quite the scare less than 24 hours after we brought Boom home. Micah went into multiple seizures (he had never had previous seizures) and spent almost a week in the hospital. The first thing he asked for after 5 hours of heavy sedation was for Boom. It was so hard for him to get his new puppy and then be stuck in the hospital. However, with medication Micah is doing much better.

Boom is a very good dog, she can find socks and books everywhere, she thinks they are delicious. She is a very kind dog, as we have a very busy family with six children.

Enjoy the pic of Our boy and his dog.

F1B Labra Doodle Males (Dory) – Born July 26, 2014

All of Dory’s puppies have been sold!

This character is Dory (F1 Labra Doodle) and Cesar’s (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) last male that is available. This is the last F1B Labra Doodle breeding for 2014, the males have been put away for the winter. Dory is retiring now and going to her forever home.

This is a sweetheart of a pup, very laid back and he loves attention and as you can see by the pictures we did a lot of goofing around while taking updated photos. He was born July 26, so is just 8 weeks old today and has had two sets of boosters, been dewormed twice and has been totally vet checked. He is ready to become a valued member of any family as I think this guy would fit in with just about anyone. He loves to be handled, he lays very quietly on his back for nails to be nipped and feet to be massaged, the whole time his tail is fanning the air.

His price is $1,100 and that includes delivery from my arms to yours. I do not ship my pups but prefer to drive them safely to meet their new family. For more information on this little man please use my contact page or text (do not phone) 306 521-1371

————————————————————————————-

On July 26th, Dory (Blonde F1 Labra Doodle Female) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) had a litter of nine F1B Labra Doodle puppies. There are five males. Two are black that will brindle in color as they mature and three are chocolate. They range in coat texture from smoother to curly, depending on the puppy. These will be non shedding pups that will require clipping about four times a year depending on how short you want their coat kept.

These will be big dogs when mature, ranging from 60 to 90 lbs. depending also on which puppy. Dew claws are removed, two sets of boosters will be done, they will be dewormed and totally vet checked. They are very well handled, I bottle supplement any litter over 8 so the mother doesn’t get dragged down, this means they are handled several times a day. Feet are massaged daily and nails nipped once a week, so they are very good about having their feet handled.

Dory is a very gentle and well mannered female that is going to retire after this litter and go to Brandon to live with her new owner. She is a very well built female with a Lab head and good spring of rib. Mating her to Cesar is a win, win for the pups as Cesar is a gentle soul also. Both the parents are extremely loyal and clean, obedient and calm in character. These pups will go on to make some family a great dog that will have longevity and healthiness. I am very careful about the pups I bring into this world. Dory’s parents are Misty (now retired Gold English Lab) and Einstein (Apricot Standard Poodle) so she has some pretty impressive breeding in her background.

For more information on these boys please use my contact page or text 306 521-1371 and I will send you all the pictures I took of that particular puppy (let me know by the toy that is in the picture with him so I know which pup you mean). They are $1,100 and that price includes delivery to most places on the central Prairies, buyers from further away can meet me part way. I do not ship my pups but prefer to drive them to meet the new family and place them safely into their arms. They are ready to go at 8 weeks of age, so the end of September.

F1B Labra Doodle Females (Dory) – Born July 26, 2014

All of Dory’s puppies have been sold!

Dory (Blonde F1 Labra Doodle) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) now have only one puppy available from their litter of 9 born July 26, 2014. This makes her 10 weeks old. When a pup is 10 weeks old it means they can hold their pee and poop longer and sleep longer, so if you work and need to crate the dog while you are gone then being an extra two weeks older will help with getting a jump start on training. She has been taught to come when I whistle for her and she knows her name is Barbie. She has been taught manners (no licking and no jumping up). She pees and poops in the designated area of her pen and sleeps in a crate with the door off, so she is well on her way to having a great start.

Barbie is non shedding, her hair coat is incredibly soft and will be loose curly, rather than tight curly like her father. She has a laid back Lab temperament and is a tail wagger. I have done lots of foot work with her so she is good about having the hair scissored between her toes and pads, nails nipped regularly and foot massages done. She simply loves kids and I am hoping she gets to go to a home where she has ‘her own’ kids to play with.

Barbie has now had all three sets of boosters and has been dewormed twice. Her next booster would be due at 5 months of age when she goes for spay (that booster should include Rabies). The price, $1,135 includes delivery from my arms to yours at most places on the Central Prairies, buyers from further away can arrange to meet me part way. I do not ship my puppies but choose to drive them to meet the new family, this way I know nothing bad or scary has happened to them between the time they leave me and arrive to be placed safely into the new owners arms. For more information on Barbie please text 306 521-1371 or use my contact page. My pups are two year health guaranteed for hips, elbows, eyes and ears for anything hereditary. I am extremely careful about the quality of pups I produce so my buyers have a wonderful dog, with longevity, that will not be costing them a lot of vet bills.

Barbie will mature at about 55 lbs. and be about 23 inches at the wither. She will not stay black but will start to get chocolate, apricot and silver hair throughout her coat as she matures, it is just starting around her mouth and eyes now.

——————————————————————————

This little monkey was born July 26, making her 8 weeks old today! She is the smallest black female from this litter. She will not stay black, she will get gold and chocolate hairs throughout her coat making her a beautiful brindle color.

Dory, her mother, is a blonde F1 Labra Doodle and her father is Cesar, my Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle, making this pup a non shedding, F1B Labra Doodle. She has had two sets of boosters, has been dewormed twice and is completely vet checked. She will mature at about 60 to 75 lbs. Dory has an English Lab build and Cesar is a lanky Standard Poodle with the grace of a ballet dancer. Both parents are very quiet and gentle dogs so I can guarantee that this pup will grow into a very loyal and gentle dog that you will be proud to own.

This little girl was very hard to photograph because she is a mass of black! I slicked the hair back out of her eyes so I could get some shots that show the true gentleness of her character through her eyes. Please use my contact page or text (do not phone) 306 521-1371 and I would be happy to tell you about her.

———————————————————————————-

Dory (Blonde F1 Labra Doodle Female) and Cesar (Silver Factor Chocolate Standard Poodle) had their last litter of puppies on July 26th. Dory will be retiring to Brandon, Manitoba with her new owner. There are only three female puppies to choose from, one Brindle and two Chocolate. These girls will mature at about 60 to 70 lbs. as Dory is a stocky Lab type female with good spring of rib and a nice flat Lab head. Her mother is Misty, who is a very well put together English Lab and her father is Einstein, my Apricot Standard Poodle.

These will be non shedding pups that will grow into very gentle, loyal and intelligent girls that would love to have an active family to share their lives with. Dew claws have been removed and they will have two sets of boosters, be dewormed and totally vet checked before leaving my arms and going directly into the new families arms. I deliver my pups, I do not ship them, therefore you will know your puppy has not been traumatized by the shipping.

They have a two year health guarantee for ears, eyes, hips and elbows for anything hereditary. I am extremely careful about the quality of pups I bring into this as I want the pup to have a great healthy life and the family to have as few vet bills as possible along the way. These pups have been handled, under supervision, by children and are introduced to the old barn cat so they know she is not a chew toy.

For more information on any one of these girls please tell me by the toy that is in the pictures with her and I will send you all the pictures of that particular pup. The price is $1,100 and that includes delivery to most places on the Central Prairies, buyers from further away can arrange to meet me part way. Please use my contact page or text 306 521-1371. They will be ready to go when they are eight weeks old, around the end of September.

Sookie and Susie

This update has really made my day. Sookie is everything I hoped she would be. Sookie will be getting little brothers and sisters in about two months as Debbie is being bred to Cesar now, this will make pups born the end of June, ready to go in August. I really love this Debbie dog, she is destined to go to the Yukon to a horse ranch when she retires, it will be hard to let her go but she would have the best life ever there with horses and other dogs. Thanks Alison, I appreciate this update very much. She wrote:

Well the “girls” are really really great. Sookie is still the reserved lady and Susie is just a wiggly eager and attentive teenager! Susie plays fetch and Sookie plays chase. So, as you can imagine mayhem ensues when Sookie takes the ball Susie is to retrieve and takes off with it with Susie in hot pursuit! The girls are inseparable and will cry for one another if you separate them. They will often share the same crate! We invested in an additional crate that’s larger to accommodate their rooming in together.

We have taken up the challenge of grooming the dogs ourselves. We just invested in a good set of clippers and various guard lenghths etc. Both dogs absolutely love being groomed. They just love having your hands on them! From brushing to trimming- they love it! It’s a good way to bond with your dogs. I still have trouble trimming Susie’s nails – mostly cause she can’t be still. I’m hoping she will settle down so I’m not so exhausted after…

Sookie loves to cuddle – just full on body hugging she will lean her whole body in- most affectionate. You try and pet Susie and she’s on her back for belly rubs! As different as they are they are quite complimentary to each other and to our household! Thank you for allowing us to welcome your dogs into our home!

——————————————————————————

Sookie is the apricot and she is from Debbie and Einstein‘s August 25, 2012, litter and Susie is one of Dory and Cesar‘s pups from their July 9, 2013, litter. I have numerous buyers that have bought a second Doodle, some families I have put three into the same family and one Regina family now has five of my Doodles spread amongst their family. This makes me wish I were younger! Their family wrote:

Hi Margaret Ann and company!

I am just sending you a couple shots of the girls- Sookie and Susie. I have so much to tell you but so limited space!

The gals are such unique individuals – each with such endearing qualities. Sookie is our graceful lady and Susie, who is still coming into her own, I think will be a show stealer.

The two are the most attentive dogs we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing…..

We just took clippers to Susie for the first time. She did real well. I asked the vet when they were prepping for her spaying to tend to any matts on her legs and belly that we could not keep up with and naturally we had some “fixing” to do to even her out afterwards. Nail trimming is still a challenge. It takes me a long time to tend to those black nails safely and Susie just doesn’t have enough patience to put up with me.

We took the gals ice fishing with us and they were so good in the shack – better than the kids! They were so curious with the fish – and they stuck to the bed we made for them – real troopers!

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce these characters to our family. I hope to update you again real soon – it’s been too long since the last time…..
