Dawn

Dawn is a February, 201,2 model out of Hannah (a very stocky Chocolate English Lab) and Cesar, my Chocolate Standard Poodle. I really expected chocolate pups from this cross but the yellow Lab in Hannah’s background and the black genetics came through in this female. I tell her that women pay good money to get their hair frosted to look like this.

Dawn is one of my smallest F1 Labra Doodles weighing in at 45 lbs. This is her first litter and she was bred to Newton (son of Einstein, grandson of Pluto) so we have some very good foundation stock here. Dawn is a very gentle mannered dog, I didn’t think she was ready to take on a litter of pups in 2015 so the litter in her, due mid April, will be her first and they will be F1B Labra Doodle pups.

Dawn was coal black when she was a pup and slowly the blonde and chocolate highlights started to show up. She is a very loyal dog, dedicated to please me, which makes it very hard to retire her when the time comes. She simply loves other dogs and there is not a pen I can’t put her in that she doesn’t bond with whatever dog is in it.

F1B Golden Doodle Black Males (Darla) – Born December 9, 2015

Darla (F1 Golden Doodle) and Newton (White Standard Poodle, Son of Einstein, Grandson of Pluto) had a camp out in October which resulted in 10 beautiful pusp born December 9, 2015. When my girls have more than 8 puppies I help out by bottle supplementing a few times a day so she can build up her milk supply. Darla is an exceptionally good mother, she keeps these pups so clean they shine which makes picture taking of black pups challenging when the eyes, nose and fur are all black. Hopefully the cuteness shows up.

These are very clean, intelligent, non shedding pups that will be a treat to train as they focus and really want to please. They already, at 5 weeks old, come when they are called for warm meals and climb out of the whelping box to pee and poop in the small pile of straw where their mother goes in the pen. This gives them a head start to poop and pee in a designated area of your yard should you want them to do that.

I do a lot of foot work on my pups, this will pay off when it is time to clip, by doing paw massages and nipping the tiny ends off their nails regularly. Dew claws are removed.

Each puppy is allotted a toy or stuffy, that toy or stuffy accompanies the pup to his new home so he has something familiar for the transition. He will also come with two sets of boosters and instructions on when to get the third set and how to keep him safe until he has a good immune system against the viruses that are out there, and he will be completely Vet checked. He will have his Vet certificate, a 2 kg. bag of Purina Puppy Chow and a can of Pedigree with instructions on how he is being fed.

For more information on one of these boys please text (do not call) 306 521-1371 or leave a message at 306 792-2113 or use my contact page. The price of $1,200 includes delivery to most places on the Central Prairie. Buyers from further away can arrange to meet me part way. I do not ship my puppies so please do not ask for that option. I prefer to drive them and safely place them into the arms of the forever family.

F1B Golden Doodle Female (Darla) – Born December 9, 2015

All of Darla’s female puppies have been sold!!!

This is the last available female from Darla and Newton’s December 9, 2015, litter. She will be ready to go about the middle of February when she has had two sets of boosters, has been dewormed twice and will be totally vet checked. She is $1,200, that price includes delivery to most places on the central prairies. She comes with her stuffy, a 2 kg. bag of Purina Puppy Chow and a can of Pedigree. I send my pups with lots of instructions and their vet certificate.

Her mother is Darla, daughter of Kloe (Golden Retriever) and Cesar (Chocolate Standard Poodle), and her father is Newton, son of Einstein (Apricot Standard Poodle) and Nancy (Standard Poodle and daughter of Casey and Pluto). There is some excellent bloodlines in this puppy and she will be a gentle, intelligent, clean, easy to train pup that has the capability to be one of the best dogs on the planet.

Kimbo

This is one of Dinah and and Pluto‘s females born April 9, 2011. I hadn’t heard from this person for quite some time so it was really a treat to see Kimbo’s pictures. Thanks Fiona! She wrote:

Sadly Kimbo is not very photogenic; she tends to disappear given she’s black. Here are two photos I could find on my phone. One from last fall and the other taken this morning before she went to the groomers. As you can see she is very cute but sure was hot before her hair cut.

Tucker (Saskatoon)

These are the first pictures I have seen of Tucker (from Kayden and Pluto born June 6, 2009) since he was a pup, he certainly grew into a handsome dog. I didn’t think he would get this big but it is hard to tell in the picture as his partner is a small woman and sitting in the background a bit. This is the head I was looking for, nice a flat, I am thrilled to say I am his breeder. His family wrote:

Tucker also has a new little brother – “Ryder” (pic attached) Registered name….. RoughRyder…lol! We love him…but sure is no Tucker, my husband keeps saying we should have got another Doodle…he seems to want a white/cream one?

I should NOT even be TYPING this….but if you ever had one like Tuck…that just needed a wonderful forever home………yikes….maybe let me know. My daughter (who Tucker ADORES…said this today….”You know Mom, if Margaret Ann is getting ready to retire, we really should get another Doodle) I almost had a stroke….THREE dogs would be a handful…m

I’m a bit of a neat freak including our acreage yard….but Tuck has been the BEST teacher…

THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL FAMILY MEMBER!

BTW- We are horse people…Tucker loves our horses, they love him….he lies next to our Stallion for goodness sakes. Also, each year we take horses and head to Cypress Hills for 2 weeks, Tuck can’t wait to get in the truck, he rides everday with us….AND… takes care of the third horse we bring..this horse is loose following along behind us…if that horse stops to eat..so does Tuck, then the two of them catch up…priceless.

Newton

Newton, Standard Poodle, is the son of Nancy (Casey and Pluto’s Daughter) and Einstein (Registered Standard Poodle). Casey came without papers so her pups were sold as ‘pet stock’ and her grandchildren will be sold the same way. I am not a big fan of registering my dogs but concentrate on making sure they are sound and have the best temperament possible, and keeping my prices reasonable along the way, and to me that’s what breeding is all about. I have put many pups into their forever homes over the last 46 years and have the pleasure of getting to know some pretty awesome people along the way.

Einstein will be 9 on the 21st of April so I am covering my tracks by keeping back his son. I have had a few males quit breeding at 9 to 11 years of age so you might say ‘Newton’ is my insurance plan. If God allows me to keep my breeding program going to another four years Newton can then go on to work for another breeder. I will try to keep Newton’s progress updated with pictures and a short report card.

Charlie

Charlie lives in Calgary and is one of Katie and Pluto’s pups. He was born February 8, 2007. When this man bought Charlie he was single (the man, not the pup) and it looks like both he and Charlie are family men now. How awesome is this. It thrills me to see where my dogs have gone and how well they are doing, Charlie is obviously become a valued member of this family! Charlie’s family wrote:

Thanks for the note – it is always nice to hear from you and to know that you care about your dogs. Charlie is almost 7 – next month, and he has always been a great dog. He has developed into a great family dog and he now has a 3 year human brother and a 9 month old human sister. The 3 year old and him are best buds and they are always playing and chasing each other – it helps when our 3 year old has dog treats in his hand! And our daughter loves feeding Charlie from her high chair – we love having him clean up after her.

Frank

Frank lives in Moose Jaw with his owner Peter. He goes to work with Peter every day, Peter is an electrician and calls Frank his ‘apprentice’. Frank is one of Kayden and Pluto’s pups from Sept. 5th. 2007. Peter told us:

Well, here is a picture of Frank. He is such a sponge sometimes look how he has his eye on the camera. I would love to get another one of your dogs , we saw a doodle in Saskatoon and if it were not for the traffic at the time I would have stopped because he looked like the one you sent me a picture of with the curly messy looking hair doo!

Bailey

This is one of Abbey and Pluto‘s pups from August 14th. 2006! This is one of my original Labra Doodles when I started to breed Doodles. Her Grandfather Trump is the same way about thunder (see story below). Her family wrote:

Even though Bailey is far from a puppy I thought I would send you an update anyway. She was 7 in Aug and is as healthy and active as ever. She is an expert at catching frisbees in our back yard and lives to play fetch. She loves running and swimming at the lake and never seems to tire out until it’s dark then she crashes. She is still timid of some noises and especially scared of thunder storms. She seems to know long before we do that the weather is changing. She is so loyal and such an important part of our family that I can’t imagine her not being with us.
