We received these new photos and video of Kobi!

Kobi’s owners sent us this updated picture and wrote:

He’s very happy. He is a wonderful dog. Very smart and looking great!

Here is a video from Kobi’s first camping trip!  It looks like he has scored a pretty good home.   I love it when people stay in touch and update me with how their pup is turning out.   These Doodles are so smart, they are very quick to catch on and a little praise, as you can see, is all the encouragement they need to try to do what they think you want.

—————————————————————————————–

Kobi is one of Kloe and Cesar’s puppies born on Dec. 17, 2012.  His owner told us:

Things are going great with Kobi.  We have him enrolled in obidience training at the moment and he is top of the class. Kobi loves to play with the other dogs and has learnt impressive control between playing rough with the ones that want to, and gentle with the ones that dont.  The other day he went straight from rough play with a boxer puppy of the same age to letting a 3 month old golden retriever chase him around the gym.  It is really amazing to watch.  I’m also happy to report that he sucessfully goes from 100KPH to 0KPH when we need him to…what a smart dog and full of energy and very happy.

His trick list is as follows:
– sit
– stay
– down
– retrieve
– drop it
– leave it
– shake a paw
– in your bed
– roll over
– high five

We’re working hard on his recalls at the moment but that active puppy mind seems to be standing in his way a bit. He doesn’t run off though, so we’re not to worried.  We’ve been to the dog park quite a bit and he always makes sure he can see us.  If we go out of site…Kobi comes running…it’s adorable. We’re also working on training him to be outside in his dog run during the days.  We bought a 10ft x 10ft outdoor kennel and are saving up for a nice dog house to put inside.  It’s currently in a nice shaded part of the yard.  He still is not quite comfortable in the run, but after about 30mins of crying and barking he goes back to playing with his toys or lounging in the shade.

He is almost house trained, with only one or two accidents per week and usually when he is meeting new people or very excited.  90% of the time he let’s us know it’s time to go by sitting and giving us those puppy dog eyes.

Another wonderful thing with Kobi is his walks and runs.  Anna and I have him used to being between us and he’s pretty good not to pull on the leash.  He runs with us now too and loves to keep up.

I don’t think i’m missing anything here…haha…the moral of this story is that Kobi is an obidient, happy, and healthy puppy right now.  We are having a great time with him. He’s about 24″ to the shoulder and 40lbs right now.

Copper

This is Copper, who lives near PA and looks super happy. His family wrote:

Copper just turned two on March 3rd! We love him, he is so family orientated and kind:) He has filled out to 72 lbs of fuzzy puppy!

———————————————————————

Copper’s mother, Hannah has now retired and lives near PA and I hear she spends her days touring around in a pick up and enjoying her time with her new master. It was very hard to let Hannah go, as it is with most of my retired girls. It sounds and looks like Copper is in the best place he could possibly be and I sincerely thank Wendy for the awesome update. Keep up the good work Doodle people, I am very proud of all of you! Copper’s family sent us some new pictures and told us:

Our doodle , Copper, from la ronge is doing very well. He weighs in at around 72lbs and is very gentle and loving. He is the baby of the family. It will b two years in May we adopted him and we never have regretted it!

Copper’s family sent us two pictures and a short video. He lives at La Ronge. They wrote:

Here is copper heading in on one year old! 65 pounds of pooch! We love him very much and he is very spoiled. He travels with us and is a very good puppy in the car. This is a slow motion video of drew and copper playing mini sticks and catch in the hallway. We have even taught him how to pull the kids in a sleigh!

Just wanted to update you that he is going well!

This is Copper, he is one of Hannah and Einstein‘s pups from March 3rd. 2013.   This is a two part video. Copper lives at La Ronge, north of Saskatoon.  His new family wrote:

Copper is adjusting to our family and us to him! We are so happy to have found such a lovable & relaxed friend for our family.

Cash (Winnipeg)

Cash’s family sent us this Christmas card and told us:

Wishing you a wonderful new year! So happy that 2013 brought Cash into our lives. He’s a big boy now at 10 months old & the sweetest pup. He has such a great demeanor. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him remotely unhappy. He’s still a bit of a fraidy cat, but he sure enjoys the snow!! Here’s a picture of the Christmas card we sent out this year. Both Cash & his “big” brother Rex had a great holiday!

—————————————————

I just delivered this guy ‘Cash’ to his new family in Winnipeg yesterday.  He is one of Darby’s 14 born Feb. 26th.   There are only two left…..one male and one female.  His new family told us:

Thank you so much for bringing Cash into our lives!  He is an absolute sweetheart.  Our first evening together has gone great so far.  Him & Rex are getting along just fine already.  We’ve spent some time in the backyard tonight.  Thought I would send you a picture of the “boys”.  Cash looks very happy!

Bru

This picture really made my day, what a wedding this must have been with a vegetarian dog as the ‘best man’. I sincerely thank Lindsay and Darcy for this update and especially congratulations on the wedding, you both look wonderful and I can see Bru would like to steal the show! Brubaker was a little curly ball of fluff when they got him, he has certainly grown into a gorgeous dog. Bru lives in Manitoba so this litter spans three provinces. Bru’s family wrote:

Here is Brubaker. His mom is Debbie and dad is Einstein. Bru is an exceptional dog. He is very smart and steals the show everywhere he goes.

Last March we took Bru to an animal allergy specialist. He had allergy testing and turns out he is allergic to everything!!!!! Meat, mold spores, dust, grass, pine needles, feathers… My 66lb vegetarian puppy has been treated for the last year or so with shots of serum designed to desensitize him so he can tolerate some of his allergies. I am happy to report most of his symptoms have disappeared or gotten to the point of being very manageable!! He is happy and healthy and the love of our lives!!!

We got married on March 28th. Here is a pic of our boy.

This is one of Debbie’s F1B Labra Doodles from August 25th, 2012.  I can’t believe what a beautiful color Bru has become….. people have asked for silver but when they are born black it is hard to tell which ones will roan out like that, he is really a smart looking fellow for sure.  A lot of buyers comment on how agile their dog is…. it is the Poodle in them that makes them excel in obstacle courses.  I wish everyone would take their dog to obedience, it really isn’t for the dog, it is for the people, and the dog benefits.  Bru’s owners told us:

Here is Brubaker. We call him Bru. He is nine months old and loving the nice weather. He has been to a few rounds of puppy school and is learning to walk nicely. His favorite activity is the obstacle course. He loves to jump and climb. He gets very excited over every toy, especially his piggy. Thanks for the great dog!

Finn (Roblin)

Oh my goodness look at this big guy, stunning to say the least! I am watching for Winnie to come into heat so I can breed her the same way this year. I am certainly loving to be able to see what my pups are turning out like. Finn’s family wrote:

…a few more photos of Finn to share from our snowshoe trek this morning. Very beautiful and sunny here today, hope you can see his awesome colour better!

————————————————————————-

Here is an update from Finn’s family. They wanted us to know:

Finn is our “wonder-dog”. He is an absolute perfect fit to our family. He enjoyed his first big fishing trip this summer. He was a perfect gentlemen in the boat and loves the water. The boys have taught him to fetch and Grayson has him sitting and lying down on command. He is a great companion for our little girl and spends a lot of time in the sandbox by her side. He has even taken an interest in the cows with my husband. I would not say he is a cattle dog but he really tries. Lol. We couldn’t be happier he truly is one of the family.

————————————————————————

This is just in…. Finn is one of Winnie and Cesar‘s pups…. they still have three males available that are just as great as this guy…. waiting for their forever family…. this is what keeps me going guys, I deeply appreciate hearing and seeing how my pups are doing… this is what makes me love what I am doing and softens the hurt of placing one of my girls… Darby got tears on her fresh clip job today!  So this helped a lot!  Finn’s owners wrote:

Finn is doing great. He is one of the family for sure. Loves playing with the kids and is really enjoying farm life.  We could not have chosen a more perfect puppy. And wow has he grown…it seems like he is double the size he was three weeks ago. Keep up the great work Margaret-Ann, you dogs are a testament to your hard work and dedication.

Rosie (Saskatoon)

This is Rosie and her look alike brother. I have clippers here that will work on both. I have a son that looks like this also but can’t get him near the clippers. I have Rosie’s sister Darla here and she will be bred this fall. Thanks for sending Darrell and Lorraine! They wrote:

Here is our Rosie with our equally scruffy son. To say she loves attention is an understatement.

———————————————————————————–

Rosie’s owner sent us new pictures to show her off after her first visit to the groomer!

This is another of Kloe and Cesar‘s pups, Rosie (the black one).  She lives in Saskatoon and obviously loves her sister.    I kept a full sister to this pup back for breeding, her name is Darla and she looks exactly like Rosie.  Her new family wrote:

Rosie loves chasing her sister Lucy!  She is wild and wonderful and best of all she is soo smart!

Theadora

Theadora lives with a retired Calgary City Police family and they dote on her like a kid. I would be thrilled to find homes like this for all my pups….this is the hardest part, letting them go and sometimes never hearing how they are.

Also of note is the fact that this girl was born black!

————————————————————————–

Theadora looks like she is enjoying all this attention!

—————————————————————————-

An update on Theadora! Her owners wrote us an email with a subject line titled “Sleepy and Dopey” and wrote:

We won’t comment on who is who however we do look on the bright side. Last night Tsun Jing injured his left hind paw. Today Theadora was in to be spayed. The bright side of it is that they are both convalescing and neither one is too energetic, which is good. If one were 100% the other would want to romp, rock and roll.

———————————————————————————

We received an update from Theadora’s family! Here is what they had to say:

Growing still. Had her to vet for checkup last week and they are very impressed. Good weight, listens well to me, very healthy. I may have a newer video I can send later too.

P.S. that’s the door of the dishwasher. She has had a tendency to pre-clean what is in there, which might be funny to some but I have concerns that she will lick a sharp knife or such. So…… Down. Stay. And then clattered around for a while with the door open. No problems.

——————————————————————————–

Here is a new picture of Theadora. Her owners wanted us to know:

Theadora is doing very well. Not sure which videos of her I have shared with you but I am attaching a couple of pics. The weather here has been less than nice and not very consistent so as a result a couple of my walks with her have been a bit wet. She does not seem to mind though!

Noble

Handsome Noble’s family sent us this new picture and wrote:

This is Noble at 15 months, he’s laying on the hot tub cover and keeping watch over #9 green and fairway.

————————————————————-

Noble, AKA “King Tut of the golf course”, expects to ride everywhere AND have the front seat!!!

———————————————————

Noble resides at Chitec Lake Golf Course, Northern Saskatchewan. He was born Feb. 21, 2013 and is from Robyn and Cesar….I will repeat this breeding next spring….I kept one of his sisters, Desta, back for breeding when she is two and she will be bred to Einstein….this will produce the best F1B available, I am struggling to keep going but want to go out producing the best Chocolate pups money can buy. Even I am dazzled with the quality of pups these guys are producing! His owners wrote:

Here he is at 5 months. Quite a character, a lot of golfers want to know what the heck kind of breed is that so we tell them and most responses are “man is he cute!”

Noble is one of Robyn and Cesar‘s pups born on Feb. 21, 2013. These Doodles just blow people away with how quick they learn and how willing to please and loyal they are….I am smitten! Noble’s new family told us:

He’s pretty much house trained, only one hyper puppy accident this past week – too busy playing to realize he needed to be going outside!! Sandra has him sitting on command and he’s getting better at shaking hands. We were surprised at how well he does on the leash at this stage.

Rylee

Rylee’s family sent us some updated pictures, along with this nice update:

So I am sending you an update on my my beautiful baby Rylee. She is still the utmost amazing young woman! Still defiant and full of charm. Very very smart and knows it too but her temperament is so amazing. When she gets growled at or barked at from another dog, she comes running to me or shies away if she doesn’t see me right away. She loves to run and play… 3 hours before I took her home! Lol

If I have to leave town for an extended period of time she goes and stays with my mom and dad who just love her (and yes call to have me put them on speaker phone so Rylee can hear my Dad).

She has been spayed and they did such a great job you can’t see any mark on her at all. She is such a happy puppy but if she doesn’t get her walk or run… All hell breaks loose and she will wait until I put my head down to sleep and then grab something with in reach wait exactly 2 minutes of staring at me… Then start chewing. Yes I have taken her at 330 am for a walk as I should have done it earlier. Lol

She does have me wrapped around her finger.

Her first contact with a baby she sniffed it’s feet grabbed a toy and put it near the baby and then wouldn’t move for the remainder of the night. Licking the feet every so often. She is 72 pounds… Yup and the vet thinks she will get bigger.

I have her on a raw diet and it seemed to calm her down. She is on perfectly raw. Chicken and turkey and sometimes bison/elk/ rabbit when I can afford it ( she hates fish btw). Just thought I’d give you an update since it has been a while.

I’m considering looking for another puppy as Rylee is looking for a play mate. Needs one really. But I do not make as much money as I did up north. What do you think about that? Is it wise? Do you have one that might work well for her?

By the way her legs are silver on the front and in the winter time she gets black on her back.

This is Rylee, one of Hannah’s pups that went to Calgary.  When her owners sent us the video above, they also wrote:

Update on Rylee.

When we got home I opened her kennel door and laid outside it till she wondered out. She wondered the house then came and laid in front of me letting me pet her. She has an amazing temperament, very very smart. Mastered stairs and a treat ball (see the video I sent along) as soon as she was presented with them. I have high suspicions that she chewed my kitchen chair…. Yet can’t prove it… If only the chair could talk….

She loves yams.( I made her yam and honey cookies) which I also love….

She will have nothing to do with her leash but will walk with me out side watching me as we walk. Not going far from me. (We are working on leash skills) She comes most times when called and waits patiently to come out of her play pen.

I am free feeding her and she has no accidents in her playpen, but reminded me that my first job when I get home is to take her right outside even if my bladder is about to burst….

She is very quiet. Doesn’t beg. Really isn’t food motivated. But listens and loves praise. She barks when she plays hops and rolls. And is starting to fetch. She will go get the ball and brings it back about 40% of the time.

When I give her a kiss I tell her I kiss her she doesn’t kiss me… So she takes her nose and puts it on my cheek.

Zuzu

This little monkey is Zuzu, she was one of the tiniest pups I had ever seen come from Hannah and Einstein. Right from the start she was a little go getter. I fed her around the clock for the first four weeks, some nights I would just sit in the whelping box and feed the others and put them on the other side of me and let little Zuzu get her tummy full of mothers milk. She was so small we called her Tinykins. I am so happy to hear about this little girl, she really stole my heart. I hope one day I can see her and hold her in my arms. I don’t think people know how hard it is for me to place one of my pups into a strangers arms, but many of those strangers have become friends, we connected over a puppy, what more fitting way could there be to meet a friend. Thanks for sending Kira, I have quite a few Doodles in Calgary now. Zuzu’s family wrote:

I thought you might like seeing Zuzu at 2 years old. She is a sweetheart of a dog and we are grateful for her in our life. Zuzu weighs 57 pounds. Happy and healthy in every way! She is so smart and has an incredible nose. There isn’t a place that I can hide that she can’t find me. She absolutely loves hide and seek. I told my husband that if I ever get lost in the woods to just send Zuzu and she will find me. She also loves the water, loves retrieving the ball, and She can catch a frisbee like a champ. She loves people so much. We haven’t run into anyone yet that she was afraid of or disliked. We really are so lucky to have her and we owe so much of that to the great start to life that you provided to her. I hope that all is well with you and your crew!

—————————————————————————-

This was one of the tiniest pups I have ever had born here. I went around the clock for four weeks to keep her going. She was bottled and I would sit and hold her on Hannah’s tit to get some mothers milk so she would have a good immune system. She turned out to be such a beautiful dog. Hannah only had one litter after this and then she was spayed and has her very own man to dote over her and take her for rides. I love happy endings! Zuzu’s family wrote:

I thought that you might like an update on Zuzu. She turns 18 months old tomorrow and this is a new photo of her taken this afternoon. She is still the greatest and such and important part of our family. She is very loved!

———————————————————————————

Zuzu was such a tiny pup that is a wonder she made it, not only did she make it she had a very strong heart with no sign of a murmur that tiny ones sometimes have. Her family told us:

Zuzu is now 50lbs and she is great. Here is a funny picture that we took of her the other day. We called it working class dog. The other photo is Zuzu with my oldest son (they are best friends).

———————————————————————————

What a beautiful specimem of an F1 Labra Doodle Zuzu is. She lives in Calgary and was the tiniest puppy you could imagine, if I had not been out there every few hours with a bottle she would not be here, so I am so thrilled to hear she has made it to 46 lbs. and is happy and healthy in every way. This is what keeps me ticking! Her family let us know:

I thought you might like to see a new photo of Zuzu…just taken. She is 8 months old today and weighs 46lbs (hardly the runt now). She is just the best. She has brought much joy to our family and we are grateful.
I hope all is well with you!

———————————————————————————

Here is an up-to-date picture of the lovely Zuzu! Her owners also told us:

Here is a picture that I took of Zuzu this morning with her favorite pink pig. She is a wonderful pup! Still getting lots of compliments on her. The latest was a group of women (strangers) that thought she should be on tv because she was just so cute. They also couldn’t believe how well she walked on her leash for me.

————————————————————————————–

Zuzu lives in Calgary and is one of Hannah and Einstein‘s March 3rd pups, she was very tiny and weak when she was born so I spent a lot of time sitting with her until she was strong enough to fight for a place at the dinner table on her own.   Once this little stinker got going she was really a go getter and such a funny pup to watch, it was like she was telling the world she was just happy to be alive.  Her owners sent us some new photos and told us:

Things with Zuzu are going well. She really is a wonderful pup. She turns lots of heads when we are out with her and she has even had a couple of cars stop to see where we got her. Everyone LOVES her.

I am sending you another picture of Zuzu so you can see how much she has grown. She is soooo beautiful.

————————————————————————————–

This is Zuzu.  Her owners told us:

I just wanted to touch base with you regarding Zuzu. We have had her now for 24 hours and I think that she is a genius dog. She has gone to her designated pee/poo spot every time (no accidents yet in the house). She is already learning the come and sit commands, and she is as sweet as pie. And although last night there was a little crying through the night, (as expected), she has been napping comfortably in her crate off and on today (the last time I put her in her crate, there wasn’t even a peep).  We are in love with her. If her siblings are even half as wonderful as she is, you are going to have some very happy puppy owners!
Thanks again for everything!
